When Christen and Dan got married at Stowe Mountain Resort, the weather didn’t quite cooperate. Their plans for an outdoor wedding ceremony with sweeping mountain views had to change when rain moved into the area. But the show still went on – and it turned into beautiful, intimate indoor affair full of love and laughter.

I spent some time with Christen and her bridal party as they finished hair, makeup and got dressed in stunning dresses.. They shared laughs and even happy tears before the ceremony when Christen’s Dad saw his daughter in her wedding dress. The groom was cool as a cucumber awaiting his first look at his stunning bride at the end of the aisle, that is until she entered the room.  Dan was filled with emotions as Christen neared.

Though the weather kept the guest list small, the ceremony felt wonderfully intimate. Candles lining the aisle lit the way as Christen walked down holding her father’s arm, eyes locked on Dan with the biggest smile. They read their vows, promising humor and partnership through all of life’s ups and downs. Guests cried and cheered watching these soulmates come together at last.

The reception was filled with personalized details and so much love as family and friends finally got to celebrate the newlyweds. Christen and Dan laughed, kissed, and danced the night away after hearing touching toasts and kind words from loved ones about their relationship.

Though the weather didn’t cooperate for Christen and Dan’s wedding day, these two couldn’t have looked happier or more in love. The intimate indoor affair was filled with the most important thing on any wedding day – love. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs!
